Kazuma Okamoto Continues Power Surge With 33rd Home Run

Kazuma Okamoto went 1-for-4 with a go-ahead three-run home run in Toronto's loss to Detroit, temporarily turning a two-run deficit into a lead. The rookie third baseman has been on a tear, hitting five home runs over his last seven games while batting .348 (8-for-23) during that stretch. Okamoto now has 33 home runs on the season, which ranks tenth overall in the majors, continuing to anchor the heart of the lineup.
