Reynaldo López Headed to Injured List With Shoulder Discomfort

Atlanta Braves pitcher Reynaldo López is heading to the injured list due to right shoulder discomfort, a recurrence of the issue that sidelined him for almost the entire 2025 season. López told the team his shoulder has bothered him periodically this year after giving up five runs in three innings against the Chicago Cubs. With López sidelined, the Braves plan to rely on a starting rotation featuring JR Ritchie and AJ Smith-Shawver through the end of the regular season.
