Quinn Mathews Throws Five No-Hit Innings in Gem Against Giants

Quinn Mathews tossed five no-hit innings before finishing with a strong outing into the seventh frame as the St. Louis Cardinals edged the San Francisco Giants 2-1 on Monday. Mathews navigated traffic late, walking Andrew Knizner with the bases loaded to end his night before reliever Justin Bruihl escaped the jam. Mathews displayed brilliant unhittable stuff early, anchoring the Cardinals pitching staff through deep innings before turning it over to the bullpen.
