Joe Whitman Dominates in Strong Finish to Triple-A Season

San Francisco Giants pitching prospect Joe Whitman delivered another impressive start for Triple-A Sacramento on Sunday, tossing six innings while allowing just one run on five hits and a walk with four strikeouts. The 25-year-old left-hander has pitched at least six innings in five straight starts, compiling a 3.65 ERA in AAA. Over three September starts, Whitman has permitted only two runs across 21 innings while issuing two walks.
