Matt McLain Out Again Due to Persistent Shoulder Soreness

Cincinnati Reds second baseman Matt McLain remained out of the starting lineup for Monday's game against the Dodgers, marking his third consecutive missed start. McLain landed hard on his left shoulder during a diving attempt Friday against Milwaukee. It is the same shoulder he underwent surgery on in spring 2024. McLain is considered day-to-day as he continues to experience occasional soreness on diving plays.
