Brent Headrick Maintains Heavy Relief Workload in Blanking of Cross-Town Mets

New York Yankees left-hander Brent Headrick completed a scoreless inning in Sunday's 2-0 victory over the Mets. Headrick leads all Major League pitchers in games appeared in this season and ranks ninth among relievers with 73.1 innings pitched. Emerging as the bullpen's top southpaw option, he attributes his durability and success to off-season strength conditioning and refined secondary pitches amidst the tight AL East race.
