Paul Blackburn Pitches Scoreless Inning as Workload Increases for Playoff Push

New York Yankees reliever Paul Blackburn threw a scoreless frame in Sunday's 2-0 win against the Mets. In his first full season operating out of the bullpen, Blackburn ranks fifth among all Major League Baseball relievers with 76.2 innings pitched. Despite the heavy workload during New York's postseason push, Blackburn expressed full confidence in his physical and mental preparation to pitch frequently down the stretch and into October.
