Rico Dowdle Stymied with 21 Scrimmage Yards in Steelers Debut

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Rico Dowdle rushed eight times for 15 yards and caught two of five targets for six yards in Sunday's 20-13 Week 1 victory over the Atlanta Falcons. Making his Pittsburgh debut, Dowdle shared backfield touches closely with Jaylen Warren but was outgained 73-21 in total scrimmage yards. Despite the slow start, Dowdle's past experience with head coach Mike McCarthy keeps him in the backfield rotation.
