J.J. McCarthy Serves as Emergency QB Following Murray Injury
Minnesota Vikings rookie quarterback J.J. McCarthy served as the emergency third quarterback in Week 1 against the Green Bay Packers. After starter Kyler Murray left the game with a concussion and was replaced by backup Carson Wentz, McCarthy remained on standby, eligible to enter the game only if Wentz suffered an injury during the contest.
