Jarren Duran Out of Red Sox Lineup Against Left-Handed Starter

Boston Red Sox outfielder Jarren Duran was left out of the starting lineup for Sunday's game against the Kansas City Royals. The benching marks his sixth consecutive absence against left-handed starting pitching, as he has not faced a southpaw starter since Aug. 8. Despite carrying a .641 OPS against lefties compared to a .619 OPS against righties this season, Duran continues to sit against lefties while starting every game against right-handed starters since July.
