R.J. Mickens Named Inactive for Chargers Season Opener

Los Angeles Chargers safety R.J. Mickens was a surprise inactive for Sunday's Week 1 game against the Arizona Cardinals. Mickens was expected to serve as the team's fourth safety entering the season, but the Chargers elected to make rookie Genesis Smith active instead. Mickens joined Deane Leonard, Trevor Penning, Logan Taylor, and Alex Harkey on Los Angeles' inactive list for the opener.
