Andy Dalton Active as Eagles Backup Quarterback in Week 1

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Andy Dalton was named active as the primary backup behind starter Jalen Hurts for Sunday's season opener against the Washington Commanders. Dalton won the No. 2 job over Tanner McKee, who was designated as the emergency third quarterback alongside inactive rookie Cole Payton. Dalton's veteran presence provides immediate depth for Philadelphia's signal-calling group.
