Willson Contreras Activated from IL, Slated to Bat Cleanup Sunday

The Boston Red Sox reinstated veteran slugger Willson Contreras from the 10-day injured list on Sunday, inserting him into the starting lineup at first base to bat cleanup against the Kansas City Royals. Contreras missed minimal time after suffering a left hamstring strain on August 31, completing a brief two-game rehab stint where he went 2-for-7 with two RBIs before rejoining the major league club.
