Ziaire Williams Emerges as High-Upside Option for Lakers' Fifth Starter Spot

Ziaire Williams is contending for the Los Angeles Lakers' vacant fifth starting spot alongside Luka Dončić, Austin Reaves, Quentin Grimes, and Walker Kessler. The 25-year-old wing, entering his sixth NBA season, offers athletic defensive playmaking, having led the Nets with 3.2 deflections per game last year. While questions linger regarding his overall jumper, Williams shot 41% on wide-open 3-pointers and ranked in the 81st percentile as a cutter, finishing 66% of attempts at the rim.
