Tua Tagovailoa Inactive for Falcons Week 1 Due to Oblique Strain

Atlanta Falcons quarterback Tua Tagovailoa will not play in Sunday's season opener against the Pittsburgh Steelers after sustaining an oblique strain during Thursday's practice. Tagovailoa was officially named the starter on Monday, but the late-week injury forces him to sit out alongside fellow quarterback Michael Penix Jr. Cooper Rush will start in his place, with wide receiver Olamide Zaccheaus serving as the emergency quarterback.
