Gage Jump Likely Heading to 15-Day IL with Shoulder Impingement

Sacramento Athletics rookie left-hander Gage Jump is likely to be placed on the 15-day injured list, which would end his 2026 season. Jump experienced left shoulder tightness during pregame bullpen warmups Saturday and struggled against the Seattle Mariners, surrendering five runs over two innings for his 11th loss. A decision on his IL stint will be made Tuesday. He ends the year 6-11 with a 5.47 ERA in 98.2 innings.
