Pavin Smith Drives In First Run In Return To Diamondbacks Roster

Pavin Smith made an immediate impact in his surprising call-up and return to the major league roster, singling past Corey Seager in the third inning to drive in Tim Tawa and put the Diamondbacks on the board first. Smith started in the lineup and provided a bright spot for Arizona's offense before the Rangers pulled away for a 6-2 victory. His presence offered a welcome boost as the team evaluates options for the final stretch of the season.
