Carson Benge Homers Off Gerrit Cole and Earns 'Superstar' Praise From Juan Soto

New York Mets rookie Carson Benge snapped an 18-game homerless drought on Saturday with a two-run shot off Gerrit Cole and an RBI single in a 12-2 win over the Yankees. Benge finished 2-for-5 with two RBI and robbed Aaron Judge with a full-extension diving catch in the eighth. Teammate Juan Soto praised him as a 'superstar' after Benge bounced back from a cold September start (.577 OPS). He now has 17 homers, 22 steals, and 10 outfield assists.
