Shea Langeliers Reinstated from Injured List by Athletics

The Athletics activated catcher Shea Langeliers from the injured list on Saturday following a rapid recovery from late-July right knee meniscectomy surgery. Originally expected to miss the remainder of the season, Langeliers returned after a two-game rehab assignment where he went 3-for-5 with an RBI and two runs scored. Prior to his injury, Langeliers was on an eight-game hitting streak with three home runs. Darell Hernaiz was optioned in a corresponding move.
