Eagles Place TE Eli Stowers on IR With Dual Leg Injuries

The Philadelphia Eagles placed rookie tight end Eli Stowers on injured reserve Saturday, ruling him out for at least the first four games of the season. The 2026 second-round pick out of Vanderbilt struggled as a blocker and was quiet receiving early in camp before suffering a late-August hamstring strain, with imaging later revealing an additional quad strain. Philadelphia elevated wideout Britain Covey in a corresponding roster move ahead of Stowers' extended absence.
