Jake Slaughter Named Chargers Starting Center for Season Opener
Los Angeles Chargers rookie second-round pick Jake Slaughter will start at center in Sunday's season opener against the Arizona Cardinals. The 23-year-old Florida product stepped into the starting role after veteran Tyler Biadasz suffered a season-ending ACL tear in August. Slaughter has earned high praise and trust from head coach Jim Harbaugh, offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel, and quarterback Justin Herbert.
