Ryan Weathers Targets Quick Activation From Arm Strain Before Playoffs
Ryan Weathers is almost a week into his throwing program after being shut down for two weeks due to a left forearm flexor strain. The Yankees left-hander expects to throw all his pitches on flat ground Saturday before advancing to a bullpen session on Monday. Weathers is pushing to be activated as soon as possible so he can pitch in at least one regular-season game out of the bullpen to gain momentum prior to the postseason.
