Dansby Swanson Nearing Return from Oblique Injury

Cubs shortstop Dansby Swanson is nearing a return from the oblique injury that landed him on the 10-day injured list on August 17. Manager Craig Counsell announced that the team plans to activate Swanson prior to their series against Cincinnati, scheduled for September 18-20. The club is optimistic that he could be back in the lineup within a week to help strengthen the roster for the final stretch of the season.
