Daniel Jones Facing Strategic Test vs. Ravens Defense in Week 1

Indianapolis Colts quarterback Daniel Jones prepares for the 2026 Week 1 opener against the Baltimore Ravens following an injury-plagued 2025 season. As Jones aims for a resurgence, Baltimore head coach Jesse Minter plans to attack his tendencies. Pro Football Focus notes Jones rarely throws deep (<10% of passes), relying heavily on wide receiver Alec Pierce. Minter's defense plans to counter with three-safety looks and bracket coverage on Pierce to bait Jones into post-snap coverage traps.
