Braxton Ashcraft Lands on 15-Day IL With Right Arm Discomfort

The Pittsburgh Pirates have placed All-Star right-hander Braxton Ashcraft on the 15-day injured list due to right arm discomfort. Ashcraft, who has recorded 14 wins this season, will be sidelined indefinitely, dealing a significant blow to the Pirates' pitching rotation as they push for their first winning season since 2018. Despite the team winning seven of their last eight series, the loss of their key starter creates a major void in their late-season surge.
