Jets Reacquire Geno Smith in Offseason Trade

The New York Jets have reacquired quarterback Geno Smith in a trade that involved swapping a sixth-round pick for a seventh-round pick and adding a $3 million sweetener to his contract. This move marks a return for the former second-round draft pick to Gang Green. The addition is viewed as an important test for the Jets' coaching staff, specifically Aaron Glenn and Darren Mougey, as they integrate Smith back into the roster for the 2026 season.
