Isaac Mattson Placed on 15-Day IL with Hip Inflammation

The Pittsburgh Pirates have placed right-handed reliever Isaac Mattson on the 15-day injured list, retroactive to Tuesday. The move comes as a result of right hip inflammation. Mattson will be sidelined while he undergoes treatment and recovery for the injury, leaving a vacancy in the Pirates' bullpen for the immediate future.
