Ilya Samsonov Signs One-Year, Two-Way Deal with San Jose Sharks

Goaltender Ilya Samsonov has signed a one-year, two-way contract with the San Jose Sharks for the 2026-27 season, marking his return to North America after a 2025-26 campaign in the KHL. The 29-year-old, formerly of the Toronto Maple Leafs, aims to re-establish his NHL career. The two-way nature of the deal provides the Sharks with roster flexibility between the NHL and AHL. His addition contributes to a crowded goaltending depth chart for the organization this summer.
