Corbin Burnes Returns from Tommy John Surgery in D-backs Win

Former Cy Young winner Corbin Burnes made his 2026 season debut on Tuesday, returning from a 15-month recovery following Tommy John surgery. He helped lead the Diamondbacks to a 5-3, 11-inning victory over the Royals, marking his first start since June 1, 2025. The win pushed the Diamondbacks to a season-high 10 games over .500 as the team continues its late-season postseason push.
