Nick Pivetta Returns from IL with Five Scoreless Innings

The San Diego Padres activated right-hander Nick Pivetta from the 60-day injured list on Monday following his recovery from a forearm injury. Pivetta made an immediate impact, earning a win against Washington by allowing only two hits and striking out two batters over five scoreless innings. His return provides the Padres with significant depth in their pitching staff as they move forward in the season.
