Sam Okuayinonu Ruled Out for Week One With Foot Injury

San Francisco 49ers defensive end Sam Okuayinonu has been ruled out for Thursday's Week One matchup against the Rams. Okuayinonu did not travel with the team to Australia and remains sidelined due to a lingering foot injury. Following his injury designation, the 49ers have moved to bolster their defensive end depth by signing Khalid Kareem from the Atlanta Falcons' practice squad to the active roster as a replacement.
