Kirk Cousins Named Raiders Week 1 Starter Over Fernando Mendoza

Las Vegas Raiders head coach Klint Kubiak has officially named veteran Kirk Cousins the starting quarterback for the Week 1 opener against the Miami Dolphins. Despite the team selecting Fernando Mendoza with the No. 1 overall pick, the organization remains committed to Cousins as their QB1. Although Cousins did not participate in Wednesday's practice, his status as the starter is confirmed, marking a departure from the team's recent history of starting rookie top-pick quarterbacks.
