Victor Eklund Remains Central to Islanders' Youth-Focused Roster Strategy

Victor Eklund remains a focal point for the New York Islanders as the team prioritizes its emerging prospects over veteran acquisitions. While division rivals have been active in the trade market, the Islanders are committed to clearing roster spots for Eklund and other developing players. This strategy reflects a long-term organizational philosophy aimed at integrating youth into the lineup rather than pursuing immediate impact veterans.
