Ronel Blanco Recalled to Start Against White Sox

The Houston Astros have recalled RHP Ronel Blanco from Triple-A Sugar Land following the expansion of MLB rosters to 28 players on September 1. Blanco is slated to start tonight's game against the Chicago White Sox at Daikin Park. The move provides the Astros with essential pitching depth for the stretch drive. Blanco, who holds a 0-1 record and a 7.71 ERA, was selected for the rotation spot over Mike Burrows, who is currently sidelined with shoulder inflammation.
