Luis Rengifo Out for Season Following ACL and MCL Surgery

San Diego Padres infielder Luis Rengifo will miss the remainder of the 2026 season. Initially diagnosed with a knee sprain, subsequent imaging confirmed a complete ACL tear and an MCL sprain in his right knee. The 29-year-old is set to undergo season-ending surgery to address the damage. This injury serves as a significant blow to the Padres' roster, effectively ending the infielder's campaign prematurely.
