Yankees Claim Reliever John Schreiber Off Waivers

The New York Yankees have claimed right-handed reliever John Schreiber off waivers from the Kansas City Royals to bolster their bullpen depth. The transaction was finalized on Monday, the final day for teams to add players to their 40-man roster to ensure postseason eligibility. Schreiber, a sidearmer, joins the Yankees organization following his designation for assignment by the Royals earlier in the day.
