Ketel Marte Returns to Diamondbacks Lineup Amidst Fan Backlash

The Diamondbacks activated Ketel Marte from the 10-day IL following an August 16 knee injury. Returning to the lineup Monday against the Phillies, Marte went 1-for-3 with a walk. His return follows a stint on the restricted list for an unexcused absence, an issue manager Torey Lovullo noted has occurred previously. Marte expressed regret and intends to apologize to teammates, though his return was met with boos from the home crowd at Chase Field.
