Zac Thornton Delivers Strong Outing in Mets' Loss to Astros

Mets rookie left-hander Zac Thornton (3-4, 2.88 ERA) provided a gutsy performance in Sunday's 6-3 loss to the Houston Astros. Despite his composure on the mound at Citi Field, the Mets were unable to secure the win, marking their third consecutive series defeat. While the bullpen and defensive errors ultimately fueled the loss, interim manager Andy Green specifically commended the rookie for his poise during the challenging rubber match.
