Celebrini Surpassed as NHL's Highest-Paid Player

San Jose Sharks forward Macklin Celebrini held the title of the NHL's highest-paid player for only one month. Following his own massive contract extension, he has been surpassed by Colorado Avalanche defenseman Cale Makar. Makar's new $163.2M deal, which broke the $20 million threshold, has effectively reset the financial landscape for top-tier talent across the league, moving Celebrini out of the top spot.
