Yankees Sign Jarred Kelenic to Minor-League Deal

The New York Yankees have signed former Mets top prospect Jarred Kelenic to a minor-league contract. Kelenic, who previously played for the White Sox and Rangers earlier this season, was recently designated for assignment before joining the Yankees organization. His career has served as a cautionary tale regarding the difficulty of transitioning from the minor leagues to the major leagues.
