José Alvarado and Phillies Bullpen Struggle

José Alvarado is part of a Phillies left-handed relief unit that has struggled throughout the season. The group currently ranks second-worst in the league in batting average allowed at .273 and sixth-worst in home runs allowed with 23. The team continues to search for a spark from their left-handed relievers to stabilize the bullpen.
