Ty Simpson Finishes Preseason Strong Amid QB3 Outlook

Ty Simpson delivered a strong performance in the Rams' 20-18 preseason win over the Chargers, completing 18 of 23 passes for 119 yards and one touchdown with 10 rushing yards. Despite his efficiency and a career-best throw, he is expected to serve as the team's No. 3 quarterback behind Matthew Stafford and Stetson Bennett. Simpson started the preseason finale while Bennett did not dress, signaling the conclusion of the backup competition as the Rams finalize their 53-man roster.
