Yamamoto Takes Tough Loss Despite Eight Strikeouts Against Braves

Yoshinobu Yamamoto (12-8) suffered a 1-0 loss to the Braves on Thursday, surrendering a first-pitch home run that proved to be the game's only score. Despite the defeat, Yamamoto delivered a strong performance, allowing just one run on four hits and one walk while striking out eight batters over 6.1 innings. He was unable to match Chris Sale's complete-game shutout, resulting in a series sweep for the Dodgers.
