Michael Penix Jr. Challenges for Falcons Starting QB Job

Michael Penix Jr. remains in a tight competition for the Atlanta Falcons' starting quarterback role. Head coach Kevin Stefanski has not yet named a starter, as the staff continues to evaluate both Penix Jr. and Tua Tagovailoa. Following reports of Tagovailoa's struggles during training camp, Penix Jr. is gaining traction as a viable candidate to lead the offense, with his recovery from a knee injury no longer appearing to be a barrier to his potential Week 1 start.
