Clay Holmes Shuts Down Diamondbacks Offense

Clay Holmes delivered a strong performance for the Cubs, shutting down the Diamondbacks' offense for seven innings in a narrow 5-4 loss. Despite his effectiveness on the mound, the team fell short. Reports indicate that the Diamondbacks had a trade deal in place for Holmes earlier, but the transaction ultimately fell through, leaving him to face his potential former team.
