Matthew Maggio Departs Islanders System for KHL

Former New York Islanders prospect Matthew Maggio has signed a contract with Salavat Yulaev in the KHL. The move follows the Islanders' decision to leave the forward unqualified, effectively ending his tenure within the organization. A fan favorite during his time in the AHL, Maggio will now continue his professional hockey career overseas in Russia.
