Deebo Samuel to See Limited Snaps in Hybrid Role

Deebo Samuel is not expected to be an every-down player for the 49ers this season. Reports indicate he will take over a portion of the 'Z' role from Ricky Pearsall while also seeing snaps in the backfield. During recent exhibition play against the Chargers, Samuel recorded one completion for 4 yards on two targets from quarterback Brock Purdy.
