Elvis Merzlikins Undergoes Successful Shoulder Surgery

Elvis Merzlikins underwent successful shoulder surgery on Monday, leaving his return timetable uncertain. The Columbus Blue Jackets have not provided a specific date for his return, creating a vacancy in the goaltending rotation. This development adds to a chaotic offseason for the club, which must now navigate significant roster adjustments as they prepare for the 2026-27 regular season without their primary netminder.
