David Montgomery Set for Featured Role with Houston Texans

After spending three seasons with the Detroit Lions, running back David Montgomery is ready to take on a featured role in the Houston Texans' offense. Houston acquired Montgomery via trade with the expectation that he will serve as a primary complement to quarterback C.J. Stroud. The veteran back, known as 'Knuckles' during his time in Detroit, brings a physical running style to a Texans backfield looking to balance their offensive attack and provide veteran leadership in 2026.
