Andre Pallante Takes Mound in Cardinals' Doubleheader

Andre Pallante started for the St. Louis Cardinals in the first game of Monday's day/night doubleheader against the Cincinnati Reds. Facing off against Reds starter Rhett Lowder, Pallante has emerged as one of the Cardinals' most reliable starters this season. The team looked to his performance to provide momentum in their attempt to sweep the doubleheader, though the bullpen's ability to hold leads remained a focal point of the matchup.
